Tracey Gabelman-Hart
founder and director
“I love working with the younger
get to be so creative and fun. Then you get to
be more demanding and encouraging to the
older, more serious dancers.”
Tracey began dancing at age four and studied
with a community mentor, Karen McWilliams,
along with many other instructors including with
Ballet West in 1978. She then continued her
education at UNL, majoring in business
administration with a minor in dance. Tracey
has choreographed for many community
productions including Pinewood Bowl, Wesleyan
Swing Choir and the Shim-Sham Senior Tap
Troupe. She married Gary Hart in 1980 and
they opened the studio in 1987. Their daughter,
Aly, joined as co-director in 2012. They also
have a son, Michael, who teaches seventh
grade Math here in Lincoln.
Debbie Burroughs has been a part
of the Hart family since 1990 when she
joined the teaching staff. Her love of
dance took her to Phoenix, Arizona
where she danced as a member of the
Phoenix Suns Dance Line. She’s also
been involved in local productions
either performing or choreographing.

Debbie is a firm believer in ongoing
education and travels to workshops
and take classes in New York City
when time allows. Although she has
training in many styles, her passion
lies in tap, jazz and musical theatre.  
Debbie is married and has two
children, one of which is also taking
several classes at HDA and is a part of
the Repertory group here.
Kelli Anderson has been a part
of Hart Dance for almost 20
years - first as a student herself!
Teaching tap and combination
classes, Miss Kelli is an expert
tapper with an Education degree
and is also a former LPS teacher.

Kelli is married to Terry and they
have three children: Tate, Kaia
and Eliot.
Nicolette Brown has been
dancing since the age of three at
Hart. She was a member of the
Lincoln Southeast Shirettes
Dance Team for two years. She
has traveled to New York City to
attend dance classes and
participated in many dance
conventions. Nicolette is currently
the head coach for the Lincoln
Lutheran Blue Angels dance team.

Her favorite styles are ballet, jazz,
tap and contemporary. Nicolette
works as a designer at L.O
We are very proud of the amazing instructors at HDA. They are each uniquely talented and offer the perfect fit for dancers of all ages and levels. We feel so
strongly about their talents that we often rotate teachers in certain classes to provide dancers with a broader experience. The 2016-17 staff includes:
Abbey Spencer has been
dancing since the age of ten.  She
was a member of the Lincoln High
Pomalinks Dance Team for three
years and is currently studying at
UNL. She hopes to be accepted
into UNMC’s College of Dentistry
to receive her bachelor’s degree
in dental hygiene.

Abbey’s favorite styles of dance
are jazz, ballet, contemporary and
hip hop.
Cera-Rose Hughes has been
dancing at Hart since the age of 3.
After many years of taking classes
and as an assistant, she is very
excited to be a teacher. She is a
Psychology major at the University
of Nebraska-Lincoln and hopes to
eventually pursue a career in the
Neuropsychology field. She enjoys
spending time with friends and
family and is looking forward to
continuing her involvement at Hart
Dance Academy.
Becky White has been dancing
since the age of 3 at  Karen
McWilliams School of Dance. She
was a member of the Lincoln High
School and the Creighton
University Dance Teams. Becky
graduated from Creighton in 2008,
with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
She currently works as a Clinical
pharmacist at the Lincoln VA.

Becky has coached multiple high
school dance teams and taught at
different dance studios across the
Midwest. Becky enjoys spending
her free time with her husband
Kaleb and sons, Sawyer and
Frannie Calkins has been dancing
at Hart since the age of three. She
was a member of the Emeralds
Dance Team, and is now the
co-coach of the Lincoln Lutheran
Blue Angels dance team. After
participating in dance conventions,
as well as taking master classes
from many different choreographers,
she is truly excited to be teaching
again this year. She is a psychology
major at UNL.
Sophie Chleborad has been
dancing since the age of three,
including classes in the styles of
ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, and
hip hop. She was also a member of
the Lincoln Southeast Shirettes
dance team for three years and has
traveled to New York, Chicago, and
Florida for competitions and
workshops. She is a junior at UNL
and is very excited to be teaching
Macy Lloyd grew up dancing at
Hart, taking classes in all styles of
dance. She traveled to New York
City with the studio and was a
member of the Lincoln Southwest
Emeralds Dance Team in 2012.
Macy specializes in hip-hop and
tap, but can each just about every

Macy is currently a senior
attending the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln and is happy to
be back teaching at Hart.
Sidnee Lebsock has been dancing
since the age of four and has studied
at Hart Dance Academy for the last
eight years. She was a member of the
Lincoln Lutheran Blue Angels Dance
Team for all four years of her high
school career, and now is studying
interior design at UNL. Sidnee has
enjoyed taking trips to New York City
and Kansas City with Hart Dance to
further her dance education. She
primarily teaches Ballet and Pointe
classes and is looking forward to
teaching students again this year!
Kate Majorins started dancing at Hart
Dance Academy at age 5 through high
school and went on to study at the UMKC
conservatory where she received her
BFA in dance. She then worked for the
Fort Wayne Dance Collective where she
taught ballet and modern, danced for
their touring company as well as local
modern company (MDT), led classes for
people with special needs, and worked in
a hospital arts program with patient
interaction as a movement artist in
residence. After having two kids, she has
moved back to be with family and rejoin
Hart's family. Kate teaches ballet, pointe
and modern, and helps with our
Repertory program.
Aly Hart Summerson
“Inspiring dancers to find the same joy in dance
that I feel is amazing. Building relationships with
each dancer and watching them progress is my
favorite part. I feel so lucky to be a dancer and a
Aly has been dancing since age three. She has
trained in ballet, pointe, modern, lyrical, tap and
jazz and began teaching many styles in 2001.
She received her accounting degree from UNL in
2005 and worked as a graphic artist for Talent
Plus for 8 years. She was the head coach for the
Lincoln High School dance team from 2003-2011.
Aly is married to Nate Summerson and they have
two daughters, Layla and Miriam. As co-director,
she focuses on continuing education and the
Repertory program in addition to teaching many
classes primarily in lyrical and jazz.
Cassidy Taladay has grown up dancing at Hart, taking classes in the styles
of ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary throughout the past 15 years. She is
currently a sophomore Advertising & Communications major at UNL. She
can't wait to continue her journey at Hart both dancing and teaching this
upcoming year!
Kelsi Reiners has been dancing at Hart since the age of 5, and has taken
classes in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, and hip hop.  She is a junior
Elementary Education major at UNL, and is so excited to have the opportunity
to combine her passion for teaching with her passion for dance. Kelsi’s
favorite styles of dance are hip hop and tap, and loves getting to teach them
to her student dancers every week.
